Still here

We are alive and well and checking back in with everyone. The day goes by so quickly but yet we don't seem to get much done.

Channing is doing really well. She is up to 11 lbs 3 oz. She's over 23 inches long. Her Developmental Specialist from SoonerStart came by yesterday to check on her. She got another gold star! Channing is working on rolling over! She's rocking over to her side and then trying to kick over. It's pretty cute to watch her try. SoonerStart is an early intervention program for kids with disabilities or developmental delays. Channing qualifies for this due to her low birth weight.

Sometime this week I'm going to take Channing in the car. We won't be going in any place but we will probably hit up Sonic. We'll keep practicing like this for a while.

Channing's reflux seems to be getting better. (I probably shouldn't be typing that out)!! She's only projectile vomiting a couple times a day rather that 6+ times a day.

Easter Piggy?

This guy is still here too. We can't find anyone to take him. ;)

Saving the environment

One load of laundry at a time. Last night after quite a few post reflux outfit changes, MG decided he would just give up and let her go naked.

In case you missed it. . .

Channing's People

Grandma Linda - I see lots of this in Channing's future.

Grandpa RD - and this too!

Trucker doing his best Maggie Simpson (that's one of Channing's pacifiers in his mouth). He lives to steal her toys. He takes them outside. He must have some secret lair where he keeps all this stuff. Either that or he eats them.

Aunt Whit had to come for a visit. She is leaving for an internship in California right after school is out.

Dad - these night owls love hanging long after mom has gone to bed.

Mom - one tired looking momma.

The girl herself!

GTL

Gym, Tanning, Laundry minus the gym and the tanning. I've mentioned before that Channing has reflux. It's pretty bad at times. Not only does she douse herself in formula but she completely soaks me (or MG) and whatever we happen to be sitting on. So we clean her, ourselves, her clothes, our clothes and the couch constantly. Does this sound like complaining? I think it does. I don't really mean to complain but the reflux is frustrating at times. I've been trying to see if there is any rhyme or reason to what triggers it but I can't figure it out yet. She has good days with only one or two spews and then the next day she spews 5 times. So if anyone has experience with reflux or advice please pass it along.

Tomorrow we are taking Channing's 'newborn' shots with a photographer at the house. I'm pretty excited about it. Then I can finally order C's birth announcements.

Baby Shower

Last Saturday, MG's Aunts and a couple of his mom's friends threw a shower for us in Wagoner. It was so sweet and we received so many great gifts. My husband has such wonderful parents and extended family.

A lady from Wagoner City Hall made these adorable owl cakes! Another friend of Linda's made Channing a scrapbook. This is something that I would never/could never do! It was so thoughtful.

Channing's stats as of 10am this morning: 9lbs 1.5oz. She's already grown out of some of her newborn clothes.

Pupcakes and Presents

Some of you might not know that Channing isn't an only child. She has a dog brother named Trucker Don who turned 1 on Wednesday. And because we love that dog almost as much as we love Channing we got him a cake and some presents.
